about

The name of the song comes from J.R.R. Tolkien's "Silmarillion" novel and means "Lonely Island". Its a reflection of my mood a couple of weeks ago. I only added some finishing touch in the last couple of days.

This is "ambient" in the style of its old definition... no drums, no fast rhythmic sequences, and even though the style of "ambient" itself can't be defined considering the original meaning, for me, being "grown into ambient" by stuff from Recycle or Die, Biosphere, Phi and others, todays "modern ambient" (as e.g. on the Elektrolux label) with drums and dense rhythmic structures is not "the real thing"... which does not mean it ain't damn nice music. And in the end its the music that matters. That said, I hope you like the track.
